remote central locking

i bought a used ML with the following problem. Central locking locks and unlocks with the button on the centre console. Central locking unlocks with key in the door but does not lock with key in the door. Central locking does not lock or unlock with any of the remote key fobs. Puzzled.

They probably need to be re syncroinzed.

This should be done with a star, however you can try this procedure.

1, Insert key into ignition and turn to position two.

2, remove key,

3, press and hold lock button and press unlock button five times within five seconds. (whist still holding lock button)

4, release all button and then press an other button once.


try this a few times and it should work, if not then a visit to the stealers or indie is required

Thanks for the suggestion but the lock and unlock is on the same button - any other ideas would be great.

if that fails then a new AA module needed!! on back order i think at mo!!! fitted one a month ago for same fault, front fog light wasnt working on that one as well!!!
