I have a E300 TD Avantgard Auto;
Recently the remote key fob stopped working - I replaced the two batteries and now the remote key will only operate intermittently! Some times I can stand next to the car and press the remote for several mins before it opens.
Before the problem - I could stand several yards away and open or lock the car.
Anybody got any ideas what I may have done?
