Hi Folks,

I've eventually sucked in and bought the Merc I-pod kit. but I didn't realise that it wouldn't get rid of the CDC - so my glove box is still as full as it ever was :-(

I know that if I just unplug the CDC it screws up the MOST ring so my phone can't be found. Is there any way to remove the CDC at the root i.e. the wiring loom (I can't see where the wires go so I don't know what it's connected to) If I do remove the CDC will the MOSt ring be back to normal - or do I have to get star'ed to tell the car to stop looking for it? OR Can I just get a loopback on the MOST connection in the glovebox?

many thanks as always !

John.

As malc, you can buy joiners for the F/O cable, if not find someone with star and change the MOST ring settings!

Thanks guys,
I just bought a connector (£1.70) from Merc and all is well !

Apparently, STAR may complain that it can't find a CDC but that's no big deal. Everything (including phone!) works fine.

thankyou !

John.
