That's quite rude, isn't it? If it's the film stuff you should be able to pull it off, assuming you can lift it at an edge (check Google Groups for tips on this). If not, you'll have to get some enormous gold wheels to complete the pimp look :D

I'm assuming this is the spray-on c--p someone of zero I.Q. has used - not too sure but acetone (nail varnish remover) might be worth a try. (WATCH THE PAINTWORK and TRIM as it's a powerful solvent!)

A housebrick should do the trick.........

if its a film then the technique to apply them is to clean glass thoroughly, spray on water, apply film, squeege out the bubbles and trim. You could have a look at the top edge of the window closely to see if there is any evidence of a film - and maybe tease a bit with a razor blade?

It could be a spray on tint in which case it might polish out,or there may be a solvent available to do the job but watch the paintwork !

Alternatively was it a factory fitted option ? - in which case it might go all the way through the glass.......

You could ask the previous owner if they have any knowledge as to how or when applied?

I would probably drive down to the local windscreen specialist and ask them.....nice car by the way.

Why not do what modified Vauxhall Nova, etc drivers do - simply drive around with the tinted windows wound down?

I would be very careful with the removal, I suspect it could be very easy to make a mess by not being able to get it all off.

Personally I am in love with your car, it looks the business, perhaps the gold wheels would be the best route forward :)

It is probably window film that is fitted.....this can be removed easily by catching the edge with a stanly blade and peeling back,,,it is sticky backed and it is put on with a hot air gun,so a good hairdryer would help in removal....

I've done this before and the trick is (as Nicky said) to warm it first and then peel it off- if you don't warm it it will come off in annoyingly tiny bits and will take you the rest of the year to finish.

Having removed the film you then have to remove the adhesive with cellulose thinners or similar - so be careful not to splash it on anything.

The whole process is fairly straightforward but takes a while to get fully tidied up. A final point - I would suggest removing the door trim. You will probably have to do this anyway as the film is no doubt applied to the glass below the trim level.
