Removing heater knob on 190

how do you remove the passenger heater knob on a 190? Is it just supposed to pull off, or is there a sneaky clip/fixing that i can't see? These cars are too well made! All my previous cars would just fall to bits by looking at them.

The knobs just pull off wrap a piece of cloth around the switch grip with a pair of pliers and pull it off
