My W210(it's an E320CDI) has failing pixels (clock and gear selected)and I need the cluster out to send off for repair.
There are NO slots into which I can slide tools. I have read that if I remove the driver's air vent( not a problem) that I can then reach in and simply push the whole assembly out from the back? Is this so or do I then break a load of plastic clips carefully hidden to further line the local franchise':roll:s pockets?
If it is not the right way, does anyone know what is?
Thanks in anticipation

210's can be hard to push out from the rear owing to the limited space, I had one 2 weeks back and that was impossible to push out

It can be tricky - you can only just get a couple of fingers to it if you're lucky, but that combined with some carefil pulling from the front and mine came out.
The problem is that if it's stiff, you still run the risk of cracking it with the keys.
Damned if you do .....
