Removing Tar

Nice morning here.Setting about removing tar spotting from lower body and sills, intending to use a mix of petrol and kero and spray on bit at a time,then wipe off.
Should be ok I hope?Have to wax wash perhaps in the evening.

White Spirit won't harm the is possibly cheaper! Just apply with a cloth.
