Removing the underdash tray on W203

Help please!
I want to remove the small tray from underneath the radio on my W203 2004 Classic SE. Do I have to remove radio or does it clip out? I don't want to remove the radio if possible but would like to pass a sat nav wire through the back.

There is a panel (cover) under the steering wheel and dash that comes off so that you can get behind the dash, there is also one on the passenger side
