I got a warning about tyre pressures, had them checked and I can’t get rid of the picture of the tyre pressure on my dashboard. Tried what it said on YouTube but it didn’t work. any help would be appreciated.

The procedure will be listed out in the manual. You have to accept the pressures, depending upon what system you have fitted.
I'm presuming all the tyre pressures are correct

I have only seen a warning once on my car in 5 years it only required me pressing the ok button on steering wheel.
if the pressures have been changed you need to drive the car for a while to set tyre pressure memory.

Your car may be different.

Checked the manual. Did what it said - still on screen when I drive.

Smart + others :)
It depends on what system you have fitted, if it shows the actual pressures, you may have a fault with a sensor/valve in the tyre.

Took it to my local tyre shop. They checked them all. Just can’t get the picture off my dashboard.

Yes, it shows the pressure on each tyre and changes as I drive. Thanks

All fixed. I hadn’t done the back arrow, which says “If you wish to cancel restart”. written it in my manual it is to confirm the reset not cancel.

Not quite the same problem, but I thought it didn't need a new thread. Last week I picked up a nasty-looking twisted wire thing in a rear tyre, there was an occasional chinking noise from the rear, but not each time the wheel went round, I stopped to inspect, but couldn't see anything. I was only two or three miles from home, so I drove back fairly gently, no on screen warning. A closer inspection revealed the twisted wire, I turned it gently and got a hissing noise, so obviously better not to touch further. It was late afternoon, so I made a couple of calls, my usual place quoted £195 for a new Continental, and some gentle haggling got that down to £180. I told them I'd be round in the morning. By then the tyre was noticeably flat, probably down to about 20 psi from the usual 36. I used a foot pump rather then unpack the MB supplied one in the boot, and guessed I'd got it to about 30psi, the gauge on the pump is tiny and hard to read, OK for the 3 mile trip to the tyre place, but still no dashboard warning. When I arrived, an enthusiastic young fitter took the thing off the rim, poked around and told me that for an almost invisible puncture in a tread groove, he could plug it, no problem, can't see the join etc. The fitter just wanted to chat about the car, and when he'd finished the work, said it wasn't worth charging me, so no cost at all, a free inspection and repair.

I've read that on MB cars, the tyre pressure warnings are precise to the point of irritation, a neighbour told me that his even warned him about pressure variations on warm or cold days, but nothing this time on mine. It's the car's first birthday next week, but it's been back to the Dealer twice for minor things, during a workshop visit they'd have run a full check, and apparently everything 100%. It looks a bit complicated in the handbook, but I'll run through the full instructions myself in the next day or two, but should I be concerned?

depends what flavour of tyre pressure monitoring you have. The indirect version that uses the ABS to monitor wheel speeds needs a few miles to determine a wheel is going much faster than the others. The direct system that uses pressure/temp sensors will see a difference on each side on a hot sunny day

I have the mercedes me app on my phone. It tells me the pressure of all the tyres. As of 3 days ago, my front tyres were 270kpa, 280kpa and the rear tyres 245kpa and 250kpa. Which must be okay as there hasn’t been a warning.

While I'm here, something else tyre-related. I said that my car had been back to local MB Dealer Sandown twice for minor things, and each time I got the little video check emailed to me afterwards, tyres & brakes mostly. On a new car there wasn't much to report, but according to Sandown, I'd worn 2mm off one rear in about three hundred miles between the two checks. They must have used their gauge just once on each tyre, and on one of them found one of the breaker strip that run across, visible in the base of the tread. A quite astonishing error for a trained "technician" to make.

When I had my previous GLA that I bought second hand from Mercedes at Warrington it went in for a check up because the sat nav wasn’t working correctly. I got a video report saying 3 of my my tyres were cracked. I then changed my registration number and it went in for something different and the video found nothing wrong with the tyres!! Needless to say my GLA45 wasn’t bought from them.

They panic owners into spending unnecessarily - tyres and brakes are and easy win (for them)

My tyre pressure sensors were sorted out at the beginning of this week, so here's an update. I phoned Sandown who told me the problem was a sensor that hadn't re-set properly, not an uncommon problem apparently, following a tyre removal. They advised a return to the tyre dealer, which I did that afternoon. Really friendly people, they fixed the sensor, didn't need to remove tyre or wheel, it only took about a minute. The Manager also ran through all the steering wheel controls to show me how to check the tyres for myself, I've only had the car a year, and for obvious reasons haven't done a lot of miles. His fingers were dancing over the control buttons at the speed that young girls' fingers race over their phone keypads when texting, faster than the eye can follow, but I think I got the gist of it all, well, more or less anyway...
