Hello!
I've been the proud owner of a 1981 280SLC for around 3 months now. Unfortunately I've had a rather unexpected birthday present in that the engine has siezed. Presumably my options are i) to get someone to open up the engine, assess the damage and quote for any necessary work, or ii) to get someone to fit a recondisionted engine.
Early quotes for both options are very high indeed. Can anyone recommend an engine specialist/source of a new engine? Any assistance greatly appreciated, thanks!
