Replace Merc Sprinter Driver Side (right) Sliding Door

Hello all,

I am new to the forum. We recently bought a 2006 Merc Sprinter 2.2L which has been converted into a camper van. Its the old model - not the 2006 + but the older model and our 2006 was the last year of that version.

Our Sprinter was originally double sided sliding door opening (passenger and driver side) - but the previous owner changed the driver side door so it became fixed, took the runners off etc.

I now want to re-hang the driver side door so it is a sliding door on runners once more. However I cannot find any workshop / mechanic who will tell me precisely what parts I need for this. Can anyone help? I have a mechanic who will do the works but they want me to source the parts.

I have no experience with Sprinters, so I'm using my 639 knowledge.
I'm assuming it isn't electric.

On the 639 there are 3 roller, so also 3 tracks.
Top, bottom, and middle. The top and bottom have the runners at the front fo the door, the middle is halfway up at the rear.

But what has been disabled / removed?
If it were me I would simply disable the lock, by disconnecting the wire ropes within the door.

Have you been able to remove the inner door trim yet, to inspect?
