Replace the chrome strip on the roof covering panel on a 62 plate e class cab

Does anybody have a video or instruction on how to replace the chrome strip the the soft top sits on,

hello Eclassguy, I have the same model, whats the issue with the strip? Mine gets mucky and discoloured from time to time but cleans up well with soapy water and a sponge.

the strip has been etched by cleaning fluids

If you are definately going to replace it, then buy a new one and see whats on the back. this may give you an idea (screws, clips, adhesive)

In addition look on the numerous parts websites. they may show something or give an idea.
