replacement esp module

Hi all Mb diagnosed my w208 clk 200k conv as a fault internally on the esp module so does anyone know where to start looking for one as MB are quoting a fortune and a few breakers havent got any. I was also wondering where its located and is it just as simple as unplugging and reconnecting

Another source is www.ebay.de, look for steuergerat. In order to do this, you need to find out the part number. If you go to http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb.asp and enter your VIN, then select 54 Electical Equipment and instruments, then select 080 apparatus case and control units, look at item 45, this is your ESP control unit, its in your engine bay under a plastic cover which may look like the aircon covering or part of the fuse box, normally held down by 3-4 bolts. Take off the plastic cover and you can just unclip the connectors. You can either take the part number from the above site, or directly off your ESP module, then look on the German ebay site as they have hundreds of control units. Use babelfish.altavista.com/tr to translate if necessary.
