Replacement head unit

Hi guys. Thanks for accepting me onto your forum. This is my first posting.

I was wondering what recommendations anyone would have to replace the OEM head unit in my beautiful SL350 2008? Any links would be very helpful. Thanks very much.

Hi Mioba. Sorry, I only just saw your response. Nothing wrong with the old unit apart from the fact that it is, well, old. I’d like to try to get something installed that I can connect my phone wirelessly too, etc. Any ideas for a 2008 SL350?

Can you put up a pic of the Navigation system if you have. Your unit may be bluetooth enabled.
Have you a phone cradle in an armrest - as there are some work arounds

Contact comand.co.uk in Lightwater, Surrey (forum sponsors) with your VIN so they can look up your build sheet, tell them what you want to achieve and they will tell you what is possible, and if you're prepared to travel to 2 miles from J3 M3 they can quote for supply and fit - but don't ask them to supply or fit any aftermarket Chinese!!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Here’s a picture as requested.

I can’t get the little memory card to work at all either. I know it has a size issue so bought the correct size but no music ever gets recognised, hence the need to upgrade.

That looks identical to the NTG2.5 in my 2008 SLK280 - if that's the case than the last maps you can install are 2019, MB will not be issuing more! As said above, recommend contancting @Alfie at comand.co.uk with your VIN and wish list.

Do you have the Bose amplifier and speakers?

NTG 2.5 has bluetooth connectivity. You need to pair the phone. Note thats only for phone calls not streaming music.
Are the no of songs on the disk in correct directories. Is the Disk formatted for the NTG2.5 and not over readable size.
