I have a 1994 W202. The original key/zapper is of the old-style -- ie old fashioned stand-alone key with a separate small black box with the relevant zapper buttons on it. It is not one of the more modern retractable key/zapper units.
Both sets of my current key/zapper unit (main and spare) are starting to look very tired and tatty after 10 years of use. The zappers inparticular are almost knackered (despite battery changes) and infrequently fail to work and are looking decidedly worn. Not befitting the elegant machine to which they pertain!
Is it possible to get replacement modern key/zapper units (the retractable key type) from the dealer without needing new locks/ignition barrel all round? Is so, what is the cost and delivery time?
