Any credit that i'm not a really tight wad are going to vanish very quickly now....

I popped into the dealer to get a couple of new refills for the wiper blade on my 124 coupe, only to be informed that they are no longer supplied, so had to spend all my loot on a complete blade for goodness sake..;)

All right i know a new blade is only about £15 but as they don't seem to last anywhere near as long as normal double wiper blades and i have 2 as new blade holders in the garage i thought i would have a couple of spares very cheaply.....maybe if i said it was better for the environment, recycling and all that, it would be some mitigation....no i thought not, alright i'm a cheapskate.

So where do i either get proper 24" refills or where shall i get good quality complete blades in the future, the ones from GSF and Euro whilst good makes haven't lasted as well as i would have liked.

Wiper Blades

Hi Juddian, don't laugh but try tesco 24" blades currently on offer at £1.50. I have been using them on mine and for the money IMHO can't go wrong for the money. RegardsE320C

Juddian, just adding my ten penneth' - for a measly £4 each you can get one piece constant pressure blades from Mr Tesco.
See my post: 'Constant pressure wiper blades - a bargain'

Hi juddian I've had 3 sets of one piece blades (different cars!) from Aceparts over the internet. Good value, easy to fit and exellent service. Pehaps you could give them a try!

Thanks for the replies and suggestions, and for not taking the mick over my frugal wiper blade search.
I'm on the case now.

I looked in tesco's on Saturday

for the one piece pressure blades, and they had neither sight nor sound of them Essex price or otherwise. they did have the normal cantilever type of blade though at reasonable money, but not a 25 inch which I need for the s210. GSF here I come again.

If you are replacing the blade on a uniwiper type car the blade has a special clip to prevent it falling off when the arm extends during the sweep, not using the Bosch blades with the MB sufix will run the risk of a lost wiper blade and a seriously damaged wind screen, the normal bosch blade for 201/124 cars is Bosch 24MB, at about 12 quid its not exactly pushing the boat out.
