Hello all, picking up my new pulley later today and hope to fit it tonight. What do I have to strip to fit it?. I know there is a large bolt holding it, do I need pullers?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Right, havin a go tonight, one or two stupid questions, does the crankshaft rotate clockwise as you look from the front and if so does the pulley bolt unscrew clockwise to prevent it loosening during normal running?
Sorry

The engine does rotate clock wise,,if the bolt had been LHT it would have said,,so good luck

When I fitted my new steering wheel last week no bar would shift it,, the air tool in the garage undid it after 30 sec,,the electric one did nothing.

I have seen crank shaft U/S when they have not been torqued up correctly and the key way groove goes,, and thats the end of the crankshaft

Cheers guys, yes Malcolm thankfully sent me the procedure, just had to make sure of the thread, the only thing worse than trying to loosen something is to end up tightening it even more like offside wheel nuts on a truck( you need not ask how I found that out). Have done the timing belt on my old Land Rover 90 which involved removing the pulley, wee trick was to stick a socket on the nut with a hefty power bar attached, rotate the bar until it made contact with the underside of the chassis, disconnect the power to the shut-off solenoid at the injection pump, give the key a turn and bobs your uncle.
Yes things a bit more complicated here which doesnt lend itself to this procedure.
Thanks
Mike

Job done, couldnt even shift the bolt with an air gun, long power bar and this thingy(desperate times calls for desperate measures, see pic) and may come in usefull for frightening double glazing sales men away.
Cheers
