My c250 td has covered 130k miles i'm thinking of replacing the discs all-round, is the task easy or hard? are any special tools required.

Only problem is sometimes the old ones are hard to shift, rusted on etc. you need to have a g clamp to press the pads back into the calipers and watch for the brake fluid level rising in the resrvoir, it eats paint if it over flows.

Correct method, and one which avoids this, is to clamp the brake hose (proper clamp of course, NOT a pair of molegrips!) and open the bleed nipple to retract the pistons.
