replacing rubber boots on w123 drive shafts

I've acquired a pair of good drive shafts as spares however the boots look well cracked. Are these a DIY replacement job ?

I am 90% sure that they are not interchangable as the drive shafts joints cannot be split.

the shafts and rubbers are shown as separate parts on the epc... so must be replaceable..

usual procedure - cut off old boot. remove a circlip holding cv joint together. split cv joint, replace boot. re-assemble.

it may be different.
