Hello guys, I've decided to replace my old cassette audio 10, as the CD changer died, and I can't bring myself to only listen to radio ( or use an FM transmitter or an AUX cassette for that matter). It's an '00 model, so an aux is not really an option. I am not sure how to go about that. The choice is to either go for a standard off the shelf BT ready audio ( and loose the steering wheel controls, which can probably be sorted with a CAN module) or one of those Chinese Android satnav deals where it will look prettier. I am open to any pro's and cons of either options, and hoping to hear if any one has had the same done.

That'll do all you need

and this one

There are a few threads,
plug and play,
build the system as much as you want to.

They look like a great shout M80.
I added a Pioneer double DIN touchscreen to my w203 a few years ago. It was about £400 fitted with a new microphone for handsfree calls.
I really liked the sound quality improvement and phones could connect via bluetooth to play music, or use a 3.5mm headphone jack. Took USB connections and SD cards as well.
I could have had the module adaptor thing to retained some steering wheel functionality, but I felt like it wasn't worth the £100 so I opted to not bother and didn't miss it.

I have SWC and TBH they are more of a pain than any benefit they give.
Unless it comes built in I wouldn't be overly keen to buy an add-on to retain this.

I have the 1st type M80 mentioned above and it has been fine for the last few years.
I did also replace the speakers as the stocks ones are awful and in my case, the tweeters didn't work.

What I would add is to buy from eBay, or amazon if the return policy is similar.

Buying one for the 211 turned out to be a nuisance and I returned a couple. But within time limits is at sellers expense and makes it less painful.

One unit confused the SAM so much (via the canbus) when warmed up on a run to London, that lights and other functions were u/s and erratic. I was lucky that I knew which fuse to pull.
Test the unit thoroughly during the return period.
Some screens could be brighter.

At the price they are worth the punt,
and with DSP I find the sound quality more than acceptable, w/o it is poor.
Octo core and 4gig ram makes a lot of difference to smooth running.
