I'm due to replace all 4 tyres in the next couple of months on my C220 CDi estate. I am considering fitting 15" or 16" alloys as you can get a clean set with almost new tyres for less than £400 on the forums or e-bay.
Should I expect different (or better) cornering ability with 205/55 R16 compared with the original 195/65/ R15 ?
And what about fuel economy, I notice that the rolling radius of these are very nearly the same, but will the wider profile cause more rolling resistance ? I get nearly 50mpg at the moment and want to keep it that way.
