Any advice on what products to use for weatherproofing the hood on my 92 300 sl?

There seems to be a lot of products but does anyone know which is best or at least works well?

Thanks

Tim

I use autoglym cabrio kit

it comes as a cleaner, and a proofer, and costs about £20, others swear by tent proofer from the camping shop at about a fiver.

Hello,

Agree the autoglym stuff, it cleans it like new and then seals it (well you have to do the hard work with the product but well worth it)

I used the Autoglym on my Saab 93 convertible for 2 years and was pleased with the results but last year had problems with Algae.

It seems that the trade i.e. main dealers for the premium brand cars and the relevant manufacturers recommend Renovo.

You can check their website for details of what kit you will need - it worked a treat on my Saab and being totally waterbased is very easy to apply. The other thing about the Renovo system is that they do a re-colour product which truly works wonders.

And before you ask, no I don't work for them !!!
