Hi all

After recently changing the battery on my 2001 E-Class, I have now come to a grinding halt with the radio. I have the 5 digit code and worked out how to put these in (the owners manual was silent on this point, not even mentioning the code) but the display just keeps returning to the first number as if the code was incorrect. I assume I either need to press something else or the code I have been given (on a card) is actually wrong. Can anyone help?

For the Audio 10 cassette
When 'CODE' is displayed enter each digit of the number code using the buttons '1' to '4'. The dash propting entry of the current digits flashes.
Confirm the correct code by pressing the 'Left', 'Right', 'Up' or 'Down' button. The unit the switches automatically to radio play.
For the Audio 10 CD
set each digit of the code using the right rotary control and confirm by pressing the rotary control. After entering the correct code, press and hold the right rotary control until radio mode is activated.

If not an Audio 10 model pls get back in touch

Thanks. I've got a bit further than before, now got a "wait" message but nothing else. How long do I have to hold the rotary control for before the radio code is accepted? I have Audio 10 CD.

Sorry for delay in getting back. The 'Wait' display is because the incorrect code has been entered 3 times. This should clear after approx 10 mins. You should then be able to enter the code as per my post above.
