restoration of 190 sl

help help help, has anybody out there had experience of restoring a 190 sl, need some expert advice - namely correct removal of the vintage steering wheel, did ask the question before somebody kindly sent pictures but unfortunately did not help with precedure

Most of the specialist knowledge on these cars will be over on that club - well worth the £35/year subscription .

Like all other Ponton models ( to which family the 190SL belongs) if you look at the back of the steering wheel boss you will see a small hole : press something like a knitting pin that will fit through the hole in there and this will push the star emblem out of the centre of the wheel , thus revealing the retaining nut .
