For cleaning and feeding the door rubbers and other seals (boot lid etc) Krytox is one (pricey) recommendation, the other (much cheaper) option is GummiPflege, normally cheapest as a 2 pack from Micks Garage on Ebay - which is what I've used for many years and works well. From what I saw on a quick Google search, son of a gun is a tyre sidewall cleaning product, not a seal cleaner and conditioner.

I have a bit, could I put it on the tyre walls?
No idea , but using on such large surface areas is probably more expensive that tyre wall treatment .
Bit close to brake pads/discs ?

Silicone grese is good , but expensive even for a small tub . I use it on my guns . Spray is best for door rubbers used it for yeaars and my seals and they are still like new . Even use it for all rubber items under the car .

We use spray silicon grease on door seals on 2 MBs. All well after a few years.

Have had it from Lidl and more recently from the local Auchan (Tesco? Sainsburies?) supermarket.

Well turned out really pleasing after a nice slow wash and wipe down afterwards with chamois. The Autoglym shampoo with conditioner left a shine and crystal shimmering raindrops . I would use it again, hope this helps someone.
