Someone shoot my EIS and I ended up replacing ECU, EIS, shifter and dash from a another W220 with same VIN except the security code… Now I am getting a SRS message that restraint system is not in sync.

Can I take the restraint system from the other car and swap it OR can the current be reprogrammed to align with the new ECU/EIS ?

You can change the setting in the EIS to forgo the check with the SRS, but you need developer mode to do it

Thank you, is it possible that you list out the tools that I will need to access EIS via obd to make this change. Don’t have anything as of now, but would like to be able to read and make changes

Smart + others :)
The srs control module has the chassis number embedded in it and as you have changed everything from a different car/ chassis, they won’t match.

You can do either of these things, the easiest is probably as per Uncle Benz
