Retractable seat belt issue urgent help

I have a Merc e220 cOUPE 1994 I knew when I bought it the passenger seat belt retractor did not work. I ordered a new mecanism from a scrap yard. It now extends but does not retract and the motor is constantly running.

I need to disconnect the whole thing now as I am going on a long treip.

How do i disconnect it

I was at a meet yesterday, a little bleary eyed yes this morning.
I cleaned it though, same thing every day
