Hi folk's, anyone know if you can replace the standard alarm/sensor/unit in the overhead console in a 2004 ML with a fuel computer. I have been told that there is no wiring mods needed as everything is already there? Anyone know if this is correct, or has anyone done this. Any info would be helpful, Cheers.

Hi,
I don,t know anything specifically regarding the ML, but I have recently been fitting "extras" to my W202s, as a lot of Mercedes were fitted "for" but not "with" certain extras. You,ll need to find out a few things, was the option you would like to fit available in the same year as your car. Was it an option on your particular engine. I also used the "Russian" EPC site which by inputting the your whole Vin you can get a parts break down of your vehicle, or just the first 6 numbers you get the generic list of everything that could be fitted, I compared the two, and as well as a certain amount of assumptions, and taking things apart to see if certain items/wiring/plugs/sockets were actually there or not.
You could also try some of the American sites as they always seem to be more into improving their cars in this respect.
If you get any luck do post back, let us know how you get on.
I hope I have been of some help.
