Retrofit C220 AMG seats

Hi all,

just sourced a pair of AMG front seats to retrofit into a camper conversion.

Beautiful seats, BUT.......having got them home and a quick search realised these seats control switches are on the door cards...OOPS.

Ive also read they are memory seats.

Now, before i consider modifying the seats / loom, are the motors on these seats governed by a memory module, or are they really simple motors that turn when directly powered?

If this task is too fiddly to retorfit, then they will have to be sold and alternative seats aquired.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

id say "yes" ive put power direct to motors in seats & steering columns before and moved them with a 12v feed pal

Regardless if they are "memory"?

If they can be modified, i guess id need to find switches.

There is a small circular switch on the seat frame that ive been told is lumbar and thigh extension support cushion out / in,

the main forward, back, tilt recline heat on off 1,2,3 were on the door cards.

Maybe could source bog standard switches and try them out.

Thing is they are sooo nice, didnt really want to do anything silly with them.

May consider selling them on if it gets too fiddly to be honest rather than ruin them.

look at the base of the seat pal , if its just wiring then 12v feed can be used , memory is just a box of tricks which on door card mounted MB , is in the door card controller

Thank you. Im sure underneath is just the wires, 3 multi loom connector blocks i think. Plus another for the seatbelt switch.

sure is alot of wiriing and power looms just for a switch.

Im assuming the headrest goes up and down electrically too.

get 12v to them and have a play pal , then you can decide what to do with regards to fitting
