Ordered C320cdi with cloth seats and it arrived yesterday with leather and no heating for them! Do the seats already have the elements in them or would I need to get elements and fit them? Any advice would be appreciated. Either that or sheepskin car covers?

Un heated seats is almost unheard of these days, to fit the originals is not that easy as the controls are fitted in the doors, could be done. it might be easier to use after market pads.

Why did you accept the car, when it was incorrect.

I have heated seats in my car and never use them - they'd be useful if you were in the habit of driving in light clothing, but, lets face it, if you get in the car in cold weather then you're probably wearing reasonably heavy clothing.
They take quite a while to warm up anyway, and by then you're body temp has adjusted.

I think that's a heck of a bonus getting free leather - if it's your own car (paid for with your own money) then leather may not add any value, but you'd have found dealers really turning up their noses at cloth when you come to sell it on.

Retrofit heated seats in 320 cdi

There is a retrofit available from MB, however ive just read the write-up on installation and its a big job. Not a DIY thing. Better you talk with MB about it. Hope this helps.;)

Wow, thanks for the quick responses! Car came via import company so cannot return it easily, I think they cocked up the order and will be paying the extra costs to the German agent. Will see how I get on with it but you are right about being easier to sell on eventually. Have found a couple of firms offering retro pads & if we go that way I shall post the result,

Cheers, Brommers

Leather is number one value on the resale value, plus you can enjoy it while you own the car. Good Deal.
