My recently aquired ML270 came with all the extras that I (and the missus) wanted - except dark rear windows.
After doing some research, I found the cheapest quote for a do-it-in-your-driveway job was £180, and the dearest for a fully guaranteed high tech workshop job was £275+vat.
The supposed best quality job was from a firm with a list of top clients. I was told that the result would be virtually indistinguishable from factory spec, and that if I wasn't happy with the result, they would do it again to my satisfaction. I said yes, OK.
The car went in on Thursday and was done with no hitches, except for a number of 'blotches' apparent on most of the windows (between the glass and the film, not air bubbles, but non adhesion I think). I was told that this was due to the cold weather, and they would disappear within a couple of days. It is now Saturday, and although they have mostly gone, I cannot help noticing these marks on the windows.
Can anyone with experience of tinting films please advise me if this is normal? Are there any other issues I should be concerned about?
I don't want to make a fuss without reason, but surely £313 should buy a decent job?
