HI ,
I am a new member and have a problem with my SLK. I had not used it for a few months and it now will not start, turnover or anything.
I had a scan with my Icarsoft MB2 and the error comes up as Y66/1 Valve defective. I have checked the voltage to the solenoid and it OK
I have tried 12v to the solenoid direct and no sound no movement. I assume that if the solenoid do not engage then the car will not start.
I had bypassed and wired the starter direct to test it and it turns over no problem. Does any one know if you can replace the solenoid it has
a Mercedes part number on it A1402770298. I phoned my local Mercedes parts and they say it no longer listed as the car too old. Its made
by Binder.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
