I have a new C class which did not come with reverse parking sensors. I want to have these fitted - not by MB for cost reasons. Any suggestions please in Surrey area.

I do not mind a DIY kit which I can get a local garage to fit for me.

I am not comfortable drilling holes in bumpers etc!

Parking Sensors

Hi there,

If you go to this website http://www.orpingtoncarstereo.co.uk/ they do the ex-feactory parking sensors for all mercedes dealers in surrey. They are called Orpington Car Stereo but have a branch in Caterham in Surrey. I was buying an S Class that didn't have parktronic as standard and the Mercedes dealership got an ex-factory one installed looked just the same as factory standard, except for the visual display on the inside and it was £350 for the front and same for the rear. That price is for supply and fit.

You can go directly to their contact details by going to http://www.orpingtoncarstereo.co.uk/map.htm.

Reverse Parking aid

Try http://www.Parking-Sensor.co.uk. I fitted a 2030R to my CLK 320 and it was simple to fit. The rear bumper centre section where the sensors fit is fibreglass so drilling is not a problem. It has 3 sensors and an audio and visual read out. One wire to connect to the reverse light and an earth. I painted the sensors with touch up paint and it looks like a factory fit. If drilling holes makes you nervous they have a kit with adhesive sensors. Good deal at £65 and only took an afternoon to fit.
