Reversing camera.

When I bought my SLC AMG43 it didn’t have a reversing camera. This is my 4th “SLK” (still looks the same). None of my others SLK’s had a reversing camera. After my GLA camera I didn’t think I needed one itis just a toy car!!!
I miss it. Is it possible to have one fitted now?

Camera fitted today. A fantastic product. You’d never know it wasn’t factory fitted.
everthing supplied by AVR mobile s and expertly fitted by Sam Kane.
really pleased with it.

UPDATE
Reversing camera working well, unfortunately there is no sound on anything. MP3 player, radio and satnav sound just not there.
Got in touch with Sam and someone is going to come and have a look.

I’ve used AVR in the past, really good guys and nothing an issue. They fitted a Bluetooth kit to one of my past cars and even when turning up found the wiring loom slightly different to what they had in their notes, not a major issue, they knew the difference and rebooked me for just a couple of days later with the right harness

r u sure its not just on mute - nearly every garage I turn up to the first thing they do is to shut up the stereo

Apart from the sound problem, that's actually better than the reversing camera comand.co.uk fitted to my S204 a couple of years ago as I don't get the alignment lines, OK it was a bit cheaper than £599 but it's something I would have liked to have. However, it's comes on automaticlly onto the NTG4 screen as soon as I engage reverse, and I use it whenever reversing, just wish the 16W projector LED's I fitted to the reversing lights were better (even though they're a lot better than the 16W incandescents the LED's replaced!).

As soon as the car goes into reverse the screen on my dashboard shows what is behind me. Didn’t think I would have missed it after my GLA 45 as the SLC is a smaller car, but I did.

on many systems they get static guidance lines - and this feature is often in £25 quid ebay cameras (of course need to pay a couple of hours fitting too) - some can be turned on and off in software - I thought mercs without active guidelines where meant to be coded with the static one's on

its the car that controls the active guidelines not the camera - taking canbus info from the ESP steering angle sensor - but it would need calibrating to work well - and that's why cheaper set ups get static info superimposed (if that's what you want)

the reason you use comandonline (if close enough) is they use only genuine OEM parts, looms and software and update the datacard to show its "now" a factory fitted option (and should come with two year warranty)

Hopefully my “sounds” on my car will be fixed today. It was fitted 7th December and not had any sounds at all since then!!!

All fixed. The quad lock was missing a fibre optic cable.
Luckily he had one in his van.
