Does anyone know what the front and rear ride height should be on a 190 2.3-16, and where the measurements are between

I wish I did! I wonder if you have the same problem as me... Front too high even with new springs at the back. I've been unable to find any logical explanation, or any definitive way of measuring the front/rear heights.

I know a place to find the measurements but only via a jpg posted on another forum www.mercedesshop.com. You could do worse than have a browse. Type 190 16v ride height into the seach engine.

Found it! :)

That's interesting... my 2L 190E doesn't sit anything like that pic - significantly lower at the back. The back springs are new, the front ones aren't, although the front shocks are new (can't see that should matter).
It really doesn't look, or feel right.

Does anyone know of any other reasons why the back of the car should be so low, apart from invisible hippo's on the back seat!

I heard a vague suggestion that sometimes the rear suspension arms bend (??!!)

Seems to defy logic...

I always check for hippos first! Were the springs standard? There are a number of after-market lowered springs availible from the likes of Bilstein.
