I cannot modify the position when I set reverse of the right external mirror in my CLK 320 (208). I have the owners manual, but it is a so bad translation to spanish that it is really impossible to understand, even for a spanish speaking person. Do somebody know how to set it? Thanks.

No, i think it is in the options menu and switchable, it is on mine, though many cars dp lose this setting and have to go and get it re set on Star.

On my W210 the reverse setting only works when the mirror adjuster is switched to the pax side. If I leave it on the drivers side the mirror doesn't dip.
I'm assuming you have memory seats as without them (on the 210's at least) you don't get the dipping passenger mirror on reverse.

Not sure if I'm being helpful here, but...if I put mine in reverse (with N/S mirror selected) I can adjust the position it defaults to.
Ignition on, select reverse (mirror dips) adjust as per normal, select Mem (1 - 3) and confirm.
This works on my 211 (can't remember if it did on my 208...sorry)

Hope this is what OP had in mind?

Ignition on - adjust mirror to your position. Key off and key out. start engine and engage reverse. mirror should dip. Engage drive or park mirror should return to you slected position. On some models with the three tier memory you should use the same proceedure however you have to adjust the mirror, seat and steering whell position, and then press memery 1 or 2 or 3. But the important thing is key on reposition and then key out - when you key on again all is ok.
