Just got back from Blackbushe Car auction.
Lexus GS 400 in excellent condition with 130 k miles, and full service history went for £950.00!
Are old Mercs overpriced?

Year ? Colour ?
It does seem older big high performance stuff has fallen out of bed in recent times.
If you look on the US price guide site http://www.kbb.com it's clear some cars are far cheaper here than in America.EG. I've got a BMW 740i worth around £800 here and in the States its trade value is $3000,private sale $4000 +

It's always surprised me that used prestige cars are dear in the US, yet the new prices are lower than ours. Many people lease in the US and the deals are fabulous (colleague has an E55 for $800/mth and his wife has a Porsche Cayenne for $599/mth) mainly because the residual values are ridiculously high.
