Road Tax is to rise by 10% on 1st April, taking the cost to £695 for my 2008 CL500 !

The ability to charge for Toll roads… you can with VED you can’t with Road Fund Licence.

In addition RFL had to be spent on the roads, VED goes into the exchequer and can be apportioned elsewhere.

I believe they have killed the m class and made many working families far worse off. But I am really hoping that won't effect me much longer. I heading back to France ASAP. Even there far from perfect. Diff is it just don't feel like relentless robbery(even tho it may be?)

So i recon all road users pay a road tax,, no mater what wheeled items are used on the roads .Make every one pay something instead of just the motorists .Its a sure way to put food prices up. Because the rise on distribution deliverys end up with the porchase of food etc

I didn't even realise it was going up! We don't pay it on our MB but Keith's mini, which we hardly use, is obviously going to be affected. Thank goodness it will be 40yrs old soon and he won't have to pay to tax it then

Well mine W124 is 33 but it wont be with me till its tax free . Had enough with covering it over every November fuel costs and everything else .I am thinking that it ready to move on to someone thats got a garage to keep it in . I am not as nimble as i was any more to do the little jobs on it .

Don’t think reaching 80 is classed as easy /: if you had the last 12 mths / 2 in their 60s one 57 and a 38 yr old . Wasn’t easy for them. Have a we walk around your local graveyard reading the stones .
