Running problem 500sl 1982

Hi
My car starts ok, when vehicle is cold I have trouble revving her it either misfires or backfires or just cuts out however it will idle. When the car is warm it appears to rev better with no backfire and runs ok.

Hi Peter,, the dizzy cap and rotor arm are well known for doing this,,when dry you could try spraying them with a sealer or silicon
