I have recently replaced a eizex radio mast on my 500SEL with a universal 'fits all' from a moter spares company.
The replacment seemed to fit snuggly into the control motor although it was longer when extended than the old one.
Problem is the moter seems to 'run on' when the mast is at full extension, although when retracted and parked the motor switches off.
Why would this happen please ?
