Running Wiring Through C180 seats

Hi :D ,

i've just had some screens fitted into my headrests, and was wondering how hard it would be to run the wiring through the seat? i've had a look around the seats but there no visiable way to run them? :confused:

any ideas?

You don't say if it's a W202 or W203.

On my W202 you can pop the rear sear cover off. It's secured underneath by two cross head screws. You can locate them by touch.

its a w202 c180 1999 and the screens will be fitted to the driver and passenger headrests. Both seats have covers on the back of them.

Also has anyone seen a dvd player small enough to fit into the bottom of the central console?

Alpine and Kenwood do them. They have units which fits in the standard DIN slot with a screen that emerges when you power it up or turn on ignition. DVD slot built in to this unit. Radio receiver is tucked away behind dash separately. CD stacker would go in boot. They also have iPod input so you could wire up a iPod cradle in your glovebox or whatever. Not cheap but neat install. I have this sort of set up minus the DVD slot and iPod connection (mine is previous generation).
