well i have just complted the tax return as i usually do, take the mileage (40p for first 10000 and reduced amount for mileage thereafter) i have done less the amount shown on my P11D, and claimed the difference.
I have done this for several years since using my own car, nett result £1200 rebate (I hope), I was wondering if there was anything else I could claim for for using my own car, I also claim for use of a room at home as a home office as I am based from home as part of my job description, so claim proportion of electricity, gas, etc.
Just wanted to make sure that Mr Brown wasnt doing me for any more than he should be, since I am not an MP and my expenses are heavily scrutinised !!
