Rust on three doors

Well after reading about rust on W210 estate doors I had a look under the top rubber seals, gulp, shock horror. Three doors gone well rusty.

Trying to get it sorted out next week with MB in Stuttgart as I live in Germany. I will let ou know how I get on.

It is a real sickener as I thought this car was superb until now. Only had one problem in six years.

If you own one then brace yourself but do have a look.

Update on rusty doors.

My car is booked in for next week and will receive two new rear doors and repair or renew the two front doors, oh and repaint the tailgate too.

All at the expense of MB although i am expected to pay for my own rental car for the week, no free car apparently.

I just hope they match the colour or i'll go mad.

I'll let you know what it comes out like.

It's back and looks a good job, I would rather not have had to go through this as it makes me wonder where the dreaded rust may strke next.

Good luck to anyone else claiming for rust troubles.

P.S. did see a nice new BMW 530D the other night, hmmmmmmmm. :wink:
