Looks good took in my clk to Merc Swindon feeling very optomistic about getting the rust fixed under warrenty. Had a Phone call yesterday saying Merc has agreed to pay to sort out every panel affected by rust, will keep you updated but things look good so far my only concern is that when it comes out will anyone be able to see the difference in the 2 paints new and old as ive been told before its very difficult to match paint exactly due to it fading over the years, i remember looking at the volvo when it had a new front wing, in certain lights it looked to match perfect but others you could tell it had been repaired dont really want that on the merc or am i being to fussy

rust

My S class (brilliant silver) went in last year for a new offside front wing along with both rear wheel arches/doors being treated and painted. Came out looking very good except perhaps they could have replaced some of the bottom door seals which looked as though they hadn't put them on properly.

Went in again last month for a new near side front wing along with boot and all 4doors again. This time all door deals had been replaced.

When I received it back it looked like new. And this is a 2000 car with 133k miles.

I've had it for 8 years now, perhaps I'll keep it for another 8?

been driving the a150 about for a few days now i quite like it more than what i thought i would though it dos seem to be a thirsty little beast and the manual gear box is less than vauxhall standard other than that its not a bad place to be someone said the engine gos under the floor in a head on crash is this true ?

BAD NEWS
WBC phoned me today to tell me that when they took the bumpers off there was a lot more rust that hadnt been seen and that the bumpers were acting as a water trap not coming home today then !
GOOD NEWS
They took pictures and sent them off to mercedes head office and they have agreed to pay for all repair work on top of the original 8 jobs end of next week might be ready , plus i got the A150 to 48.9mpg on the way home rom swindon to north wales, though im really starting to miss the old girl now
