I 've just bought a '95, c200 in silver for £2k, 99k miles full history etc. Snag is that it has rust forming on the n/s/r door and around the boot lock. Is it worth repairing these and re-spraying or replacing the door and boot in toto? Considering the car only cost 2000 quid I'm not convinced of the latter? Btw what economy do people get on c200's?

I'd go for the clean up and respray - Merc did the lock on my last E and it never came back so if the rest of the panel is sound, thats the best way.

My C220 managed 36 on a steady run and whilst I never did any proper checks around 250 miles to a tank round town.
