S 320 ABS and ETC warning lights

I have an S320 1995 model. ABS and ETC warning lights seem to come on intermittently. When lights come on, ABS, ETC and cruse control stop working. They stay on until engine is switched off, but some time they just go off and every thing is normal.
Can any one help and advice me as to what to look for please?

Brake light switch is the first thing to suspect.
