Hi I wondered if anyone has had this problem.

I have a s320 (x reg 2000). The car runs perfectly however, if I have left it parked in the garage and not used for 3 weeks or so the battery goes flat.

The battery is brand new, I drove the car 400 mile round trip 3 weeks agos with no problems and now my battery is flat. This has happend before, the Mercedes garage say there is nothing wrong with the car and it is to do with the onboard computer self checking and that the car needs to be driven more often.

This seems puzzling to me, surely the car should be ok after 3 weeks of no use.

Does anyone have any ideas please.

Its should last longer than 3 weeks, suspect you have a drain on one of the control units,

Hi Carl and welcome, the car should go a bit longer than that, as that represents more than 1 amp per day, it needs an ammeter in series with the battery or a good quality clamp meter.

All it takes is one seat controller to leak slightly

Like the comand 2 on mine, where they do not go to sleep, the OVC is a good one too.

What we are doing on the C class now is to disconnect the live memory wire from the seat controllers and joining to the switched live, every thing still works
