S class 1996 indicator always flashes left!

Hello - my S500 1996 has started indicating left even if I put the switch to turn right! Ie left is ok right indicated left. Any ideas please. Regards.

I would imagine the relay for the indicators (if its a single relay that does both sides) is at fault?

The relays in MB's are normally double, half left, half right, I think it is more likely to be that than the stalk, what happens with the Hazard, do they work,left and right.

Thanks Television - the hazards work normally - do you know where the flasher relay is - not in the engine fuse box. Thanks,

heh, turn the hazards on and then go around the car listening for it

Now fixed by 'The Garage - Rochdale Lancs.

Gave up - so took car to The Garage ( Merc Specialist ) they changed the flasher unit - which also does the wipers etc - now works both ways - expensive part thought £110 secondhand. Still I cound not even get to it. Thanks.
