S Class Automatic Boot

On our S600 we have an automatic boot, recently it was forced open by a driver who did not relise it can open automatically.

Now the boot only opens halfway automatically.

Everything seems to look correct on the hinges and nothing looks bent or broken.

Can anyone give me some advice as to sorting this out?

Have a look in command,it might be set at restricted opening

I had someone do this to my 216 but he tried to close it , I jumped out and pressed the close button and all was well so im surprised yours hasn't gone back to normal pal

The tailgate on my S204 can be restricted to open at whatever height I choose, simply by holding my hand above it at the desired height, when it will stop in contact with my hand. It opens to that height every time from then on.

I can reset the height by holding down the remote instead of just pressing it momentarily, when it will open fully.

Not sure if this is helpful, but it may strike a chord.

What year S600 is this?
