S CLASS satnav unit

Would the satnav unit shown below be easy to fit on my S320 (2001) ?

I beleive Alfie doesnt do Comand on S class w220, but if you could help sir it would be appreciated

The top one, (Comand 2.5) is the correct one for you vehicle, and as it comes with the wood etc will physically fit fairly easily, however I am nowhere near clever enough to know what wiring is already installed.

The second one is the widescreen comand as fitted as standard to the last of the 220's from around 04 IIRC

It is DVD based

As already said, this is the widescreen COMAND and is not suitable for your car.

You need the COMAND 2.5 unit.

Alfie, I have traced a second hand COMAND 2.5 PART NUMBER A220 827 0442 .
Are they a real sod to install, and would I be wasting my time and money if I tried it mysef ( I know you dont do "S class") I have mobile in centre arm rest wired and preinstalled already with aerial also. ( if its any help !)

I honestly dont know about s class comand units. However take a look at Richards excellent site at http://www.mercupgrades.com this guy really really knows his stuff and is a personal friend of mine. What he doesnt know about retro fits (be it linguatronic in a non linguatronic car to comand in a non mercedes) isnt worth knowing.
